Spanish Comenius Team Coordinator
Hello! My name is Ana María Joaquin and I work as a teacher of English in the high school “La Arboleda” in Lepe, Spain. Using English to communicate in real contexts seem to be the obvious goal in teaching-learning a foreign language; however, we face many difficulties everyday such as: too many students in the classrooms, no enough time, a strict curriculum to follow, etc… |

Participating in the Comenius Project, “Our Lives in the Limelight”, has given us, teachers and students, the opportunity to know and understand the diversity of European cultures, languages and values.
It has helped students to acquire the basic life skills and competences necessary for their personal development and of course, it has increased students ‘motivation towards the learning of foreign languages. As the coordinator of this project, I feel fully satisfied with the development of “Our Lives in the Limelight”, a magazine of and for teenagers. Congratulations to all people involved in it! |

"My name is Agustín, and I’m an English teacher at IES La Arboleda, in Lepe, a small city in the province of Huelva, in Andalucía, Southern Spain.
I’ve been an English teacher for more than twenty years in different Secondary Schools in the region, and nowadays I’m enjoying my stay in Lepe, a beautiful spot on the South Atlantic coast of Spain, just near the border between Portugal and Spain. I'm participating in this Comenius project as a member of the Spanish team. I'm in charge of the site administration (during the 1st year of the project) so if there's anything you don't like or isn't going the way it should, agujota is the one to blame. Well, agujota is a nickname which I only use for my blog and email addresses. I use this blog - agujota.wordpress.com - as a lesson diary and organiser and as a tool for my teaching purposes. And for the sake of fun, obviously." |
